Personal

I am a second-generation lawyer. My father practiced law for decades in Boston.  In 1987 I fled the traffic jams of Boston and moved to Maine. My wife Barbara and I live in North Yarmouth. Our son Ben is a recent graduate of St. Olaf College in Minnesota.

I love sea kayaking, and often paddle on Casco Bay and, for a few weeks in August, on Eggamoggin Reach. I also enjoy cross-country and downhill skiing, hiking and other outdoor activities. I coached youth soccer for several years. I am Uncle Jim to five biological nieces and nephews as well as three very special kids, Caleb, Grace, and Joshua.
